The Cross-frame was designed to further limit the frame flexing of the C4, 84-96 models. Taking the idea from the convertible models and improving on it to increase ground clearance and durability, we feel we have come up with the ultimate frame reinforcement.

The Cross-frame fits flush against the floorboards of your Corvette and only reduces your ground clearance by 1 inch. It is made of 1x3" rectangular tubing to withstand the abuse of daily driving and the hazards of the open road.

We were able to maintain maximum ground clearance at the cross over with an open center bridging of the two tubes. The resulting joint maintained the strength of the tubing through all of our testing with the loads that are exerted on it.

We attach the leading edge of the Cross-frame to the factory drilled and tapped holes in the front curve of the main frame. The rear of the frame fastens to three thread inserts that are supplied and installed by the you. Once the thread inserts are installed, removal of the frame for service work is just a matter of unbolting it.
